    Home Depot Epoxy?

You can check out my experience with the Rustoleum epoxy... It is sold at Home Depot and it was great for $500 for a two car garage... That was two coats of color and one coat clear. Held up great for the years I lived there.

My Rustoleum Professional EPOXYShield Garage Floor Project

Acid etching isn't that hard at all and I did it for my floor even though it was a new house (see first post). "I purchased two gallons of Muriatic Acid from the local hardware store. I filled a watering can ¾ full with water. I then filled the remaining ¼ with muriatic acid. Before I dispersed...

My Rustoleum Professional EPOXYShield Garage Floor Project

My garage Continued: Well it has been a while, the floor was part one and is still looking great 2 years later! My next project in the garage was the cabinets and work bench. From our wedding, we ended up with lots of gift cards to Home Depot and Lowes (I like Home Depot better, but thats...

My Rustoleum Professional EPOXYShield Garage Floor Project

JR, I will let you in on a tip that came in handy for me and should for everyone... Before you put any epoxy down, set the limits on the garage door opener so that it leaves the garage opened a few inches. This will allow the fumes to get out once the epoxy is down and also keep you from...

    Garage outlet layout

I just wired up my garage, used the mini blade breakers (fit two circuts in one slot on the breaker board). I got mine at HomeDepot, it saves a bunch of room and keeps them organized better (in my opinion at least). I wouldn't see why you would use a 220V breaker, rather run mini blades..

My Rustoleum Professional EPOXYShield Garage Floor Project

Thank you all.... The flooring is still holding up well! It made it through one NE winter and still looks like new! I have since put in cabinets and a work bench, will post pictures after it is all finished.... As for the total time it takes to do what I did, it was around 2 weeks to get the...

My Rustoleum Professional EPOXYShield Garage Floor Project

I do not think that it is needed for all applications but I do believe that it may depend on the finish of your current floor. If the floor is old and worn out, rough spots, then I think that the grinding will give the final floor a better look. As far as I know, it is only required if there...

My Rustoleum Professional EPOXYShield Garage Floor Project

Mike, I used one kit to do one coat on my 21X21 and had some left over... I would say that 4 kits should do it for one coat... I would recommend doing at least two coats, as it is hard to judge the right thickness until it is too late. And/Or get some nail shoes or those aerator shoes and...

My Rustoleum Professional EPOXYShield Garage Floor Project

Thanks for the comments! I will have final pictures up soon with the cabinets and all... The garage is around 21X21 plus the ~6" vertical wall on the sides and back. The heavy chips look pretty good, but I wish I had done two coats of clear, the chips really made the surface rough, and I also...

My Rustoleum Professional EPOXYShield Garage Floor Project

Sunday Morning: The first coat looked pretty good with the exception of a thin spot in the middle of the garage that looked dull… The second coat went on just like the first, except this time the flakes were tossed onto the wet epoxy. We used about 3.5 bags of chips on the floor… kind of got...

My Rustoleum Professional EPOXYShield Garage Floor Project

Just finished putting down “Rustoleum Professional EPOXYShield Garage Floor Coating” on my new garage (House completed in April 2006). Thought it would be nice to share my experience and results. I searched around various forums and decided to go with the Rustoleum product. I feel that the...

    finally finished my garage remodel.....

I am in the process of remodeling my new garage as well and am planning on using the same cabinets (the white ones though). I am interested in the legs, were they with the cabinets, or did you find some and then make them work? Do you have a part number or link??? Thank you, Kevin

    Finally Finished My Floor......

how long after the first coat did you put on the second one? I just bought two kits for my two car garage and didn't know how long to wait... also, can you elaborate on the reasoning for why you should have used the clear? I still have time to put the clear on if you convince me that it is...
