Finally got out there to look at the slides top box dated 12/72 has black slides, bottom roller 10/72 has natural steel ...

Grabbed this pic from maketplace couple of years back, Dayton badged Kennedy or Waterloo , note no locking pins, dimples on both top and mid box...

i will throw the monkey wrench in this...Craftsman badge...Kennedy or waterloo? Dimples by the lock, panel lock pins, dual lid supports.

Smoke; I just caught this about the color of the slides and I have to go out and double check, I believe my six drawer stack, 72 date code has both colored slides.

Late in the day, last garage sale in our area, sitting out on a table with another similar vise although the other was an offshore brand, he wanted $50, I tried 40 but he wouldn't budge, so for $50 it was in my car..:3gears:
