Even though the Piano was in the 1808 building for only a couple of years, it was still a part of that buildings history.
So today I had two, 24" X 24" laminated posters made of that piano, and Matt can choose which one he prefers, to tack up on one of the walls of the 1808 building!
The one...
From when I was working on dismantling the piano that was in the shop, I found one of these vintage
"NOS" " CEDARDALE UPHOLSTERY" Beer can thermal cuffs, that has a hot rod on it, from when Paul was doing upholstery there. So cool to have something from that old building as a piece of hot rod...
Paint the beam and the supports all white, to match the rest of the area in the shop.
That way when you start to hang all kinds of cool stuff on it like license plates or collected signs, they will really stand out!
Now is the time to do that, while you still have room to do it!
It will be a...
Grinning to myself here, I wasn't really yelling, and not typing in all caps either, I had failed to put my reader glasses on, and didn't check the size choice when I posted the last post.
If you all knew me personally, my picture is next to the words eccentric, eclectic, and belligerent in the...
I really hope that the vintage Coca Cola vending machine will be functional.
I assume that you are going to use the office as a real office?
It's so cool that this great old building is coming back to life, and that history is being preserved.
So that cool old Chevy panel delivery, that I...
This certainly isn't an attempt to high jack Matt's thread, but this is an important part of this transformation of this great old building, and an element that escaped the building today, in a grand manner!
The piano that was in the 1808 building, which it was given to the owner of the...
So its been pretty amazing to watch the transformation of the 1808 building, as Matt and his crew go at it from all directions.
About 3 weeks ago was when the mighty ( PEZ ) the 77 Kalamazoo K-45 burden carrier, was finally transported from my driveway up to the storage area in Mt Vernon...
Hey Matt, "BORING HOP YARD" is correct, once the ballasts start to fail, the LEDS are the way to go, they don't have the issues that the older units with old style ballasts have.
Ask me how I know!
Found this great shot from a few years ago of the old Mount Vernon Radiator service building, that Matt is moving all of his stuff into.
Sure looking forward to seeing this gaggle of great cars and hot rods hanging around the place, once Matt gets all situated and squared away!
Great, that area where the broom is leaning up against that rack, is the perfect place for "PEZZ" to live, and it wont block the door, plus you can stack a lot of material on its stout bed!
Bravo to you Matt for all of your hard work!
Hey Matt
Until you absolutely have to, leave all of that cool stuff in the office section and what is on the walls, as it is, that is a treasure trove, that Pfaaf sewing machine is a walking foot indeed. And the piano is very cool as well.
Thanks from Dennis.
