Just out of curiosity did you have a receipt? I know that they will only give in store credit for items that do not have proof of purchase. This stops shoplifters from getting cash on stolen items.

If I made my living solely on turning wrenches I would not bat an eye at SO gear regardless of the price but I dont so I have no problems using low cost tools. Plus all my tools are covered by my companies tool program so if I break anything they will replace it with proto.

I did a search and couldn't find any thread dedicated to parts washers. I have a HF 5 gal now but its just way too small for my needs. Im planning on building one soon, my plan is to use a 55 gal drum split in half and using a pump from a HF washer.

I came across add on CL last night for auction in a automotive repair shop. I have never been to one of these before and was wondering what to expect, based on the add it looks like there is some good stuff up for grabs. I'm pretty pumped to go to check things out, even if I dont buy anything.

IMO if you were willing to settle for demising quality so soon after purchasing why not just buy HF. Iwould send them back.
