Everything these guys said. Number 1, Don't fall into the Snap-on trap, ESPECIALLY the tool box. No one will be impressed. I'm an aircraft mechanic, you might be surprised how little you need for day to day wrenching. Used quality tools are perfectly fine, as are a lot of Harbor Freight tools...
