    Black & Decker Workmate

Black & Decker Workmate I have been using a beat up old workmate as a welding table and clamp for quite some time, and I finally took some scrap steel and unistrut and started evolving this unit to a true welding table. It is not done yet, but I am happy so far. I will likely drill and...

    Cost to ship a container.

I would look into buying a used 53’ semi trailer, paying someone to move it for you, and selling it when you get to South Bend. Or, if you could buy a 40’ container and a chassis for under it, I think it would be easier to broker it as a load.

Hypothetical Question - Expand or Build New

An 18x24 space would make a nice one car garage for working on cars. Add leans on 2-3 sides for storage and parking. Plan these leans into the framing as you are framing.

New electric heater blowing warm air

I have a 7500 watt heater in a well insulated 24x42 garage, and it is plenty to heat the garage in Minnesota. But, I don’t expect the garage temp to rise more than 10-15 degrees f per hour. It will heat the garage to 70F in below zero weather. But yes, the air coming out of the heater does...

    Screw Compressor Needing TLC

At work we have 7.5, 10, and 30 horse screw compressors. Beside them all being 3 phase, I do not imagine you would describe any of them as quieter than a piston compressor, just a different kind of sound. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Lift Advice

I love my 4 post lifts. But in that stall I cannot recommend them. You need to be able to walk around the outside of the posts, in a bay narrower than 14', it would not be good for anything but stacking storage of cars. Same thing with. 2 post, too narrow. Go with a Midrise lift.

    Asphalt Contractor in MN

Call pine bend and ask for a quote. If you removed Topsoil and brought in class 5 recycle, you could use it like that and let it settle good before saving up paving money. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Saab 99 and 900 models up to the late 80's you could change the clutch without removing the engine or transmission, and without removing a tire or laying on the ground. Removable input shaft.

New Tandem 4 car Build... Advice/Tips/$.02

I have a similar garage setup, and I would recommend considering angling the 4 post lift slightly, just a few inches, to make it easier to drive straight on and off the lift. Also, make sure you can carry something between the hoist posts and the wall walking straight forward, like a tote or tire.

    how much does drywall help??

It will help a ton. My garage is 24x42', (r19 and r38), approximately 12' ceiling, and it rarely gets over 77-78 in the garage in the summer in MN.
