It sounds cheasy but the HVLP guns from harbor freight work pretty well - $9.99 with a coupon. The last time i used one I hand to think about cleaning it or just tossing it in the garbage.
Use a shop vac and **** a pull string through the line. Tie a little chunk of foam or something on the end, electricians do it all the time with great sucess. This is assuming you can acess both ends.
Almost all awnings like that are made of aluminum - 1" square .065 - .090 wall light strong and will hold up well. They even make alum extrusion that will accept the edge retainer for the sunbrella. Look at sign supply places - you might even find a sign shop they almost always have old awnings...
look for a race fuel distributor - the guy working the warehouse gave me a 15 gallon barrel when i was there buying some c14 for my car. the 15 gal is a good size for a shop or trailer.
It might sound kind of out of place - look at drag car parachute handles. The mechanical ones use cables and some have mounts to go to small tubing. They are made to fit your hand and pretty stout - safety item. Even if it is just for ideas might help.
if you have a larger vehicle as a anchor pulling off that works pretty well - i have a 3/4 ton chevy with the hooks in the front. Works great and totally portable.
I will get some pics of the bender tomorrow - i have 1.25" 1.5" and 1.625" dies. I built the bender and a buddy bought the dies worked out good for both of us.
nope wounldn't change a thing - just need to improve the cart i made and die storage. Really like the vertical style bender - get yourself a good digital level when you start bending.
I just built the same bender - plans off the internet gottrikes website if i remember right. plans are great and gives you a complete material list - the ram is a HF air over hydraulic.
It uses Pro tools 105 dies - fun project to build. have built 3 cages with it works awesome.
