6" x 48" combination belt and 12" disc sander options?

I have owned the Jet model for at least ten years. I use it at my business nearly daily. It has been perfect for my use. i would say it’s very well built after ten years of use and zero issues.

Looking to run a blast cabinet. Can I get away with this air compressor?

At my shop I have an Ingersoll Rand true 5HP, 208 3 phase, magnetic starter, 80 gallon tank. A true industrial model. I think it is rated at about 15 CFM at 175PSI. It just barely keeps up with a blast cabinet. I wish I would have bought a 7.5HP 80 gallon model.

7.5 HP Compressor Shutting Off - 3 Capacitor Testing & Identifying & Grease Fitting Question

This might be a dumb comment, but the wiring into and out of the compressors electrical box looks to be either 10 or maybe 8 AWG. Then I see three short bare copper jumpers between the circuit breaker and the contractor….which look much smaller like maybe 12 AWG? Could this be causing a...

    Honda odyssey a/c

2008 Honda Odysseys have a known issue where the condenser get punctured by a rock or other items kicked up on the road. In 2009 they changed the design to incorporate screening in the front lower grill openings to protect the condenser from damage. I bet if you look carefully, you will find...

    Ultimate Barn Find

The T56 are available as close or wide ratio. I have a wide ratio one in my 1962 Nova. The wide ratio version has an overdrive 5th gear ( I think about 0.7:1) and a 0.5:1 6th gear. The close ratio has something like a 0.62:1 6th gear. I have 4.56 rear end gears in my nova. In sixth gear...

    Battery storage/charging station ideas

Lead acid batteries self discharge at a rate of about 4% per week at normal temperatures. It’s a go idea to trickle charge them once a month or put them on a good quality battery maintainer style charger.

Securing a Cord Through a Panel

I use lots of Heyco brand strain reliefs at my electronics company. Heyco also make a tool just for use with the cable strain reliefs. The tool is not cheap, but it makes installing the strain reliefs super fast and easy. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001BPY6KI/?tag=atomicindus08-20

    Calrad multimeter? Useful or novelty?

Calrad is still in business in Hollywood CA. They still import cheap, Chinese made electronics. If that meter needs some hard to get battery, I would not waist your time. I think the quality of the meter will just be a bit better than Harbor Freight. Harbor Freight gives their basic meters...

Use 18v Drill Battery as Source for 120v AC

    18v x 9 amps = 72 watt hours, not 72 amp hours.

Use 18v Drill Battery as Source for 120v AC

Most of the lithium batteries used on hand tools have about a 75 watt/hours rating. They are no where near high enough capacity to run an inverter of any size for very long. If you were to say run a 100 watt invertor from a 75 watt battery you would get about 30 minutes run time. A 300 watt...

EMT Along Outside Wall of House?
