I have a large sheet of 1/8" diamond plate to make a work bench top out of. I am trying to decide if I want to use the diamond plate side up or smooth side up. What do you guys think? Anyone have diamond plate as their work bench?
Thanks,
Keith
It won't make the floor space any larger, but utilizing vertical space can help. Go with a second story or at least storage trusses for utilizing the space up top.
Getting it inspected?
If you are getting this inspected, the latest code requires 4 wires for 220V, but your county may not require it. I just wired mine with 50A outlets and 6/3 w/ ground wire .

UniBits are netter
I recently recieved a set of these to replace my old Unibit. The Harbor Freight version is nowhere near as good. The step is too abrupt. The UniBit has a smoother transition that deburrs the hole. I would spend the extra and get the UniBit as much as I use this tool.
