TwoBytes, Thanks for the helpful explanation. I’m not a big fan of the format changes in this, and other forums I’m following. I can understand the reasoning much better now! John

A belated Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, Tom & Chris! I've been following this thread for many, many years, and can honestly say it's the best thread on the net! I've learned a tremendous amount from Tom's detailed and well written posts. I hope some day to drop by to meet you guys in...

Awesome story, Thomas! Congratulations to Lou! I'll be it took quite a while for the fun meter to come off of MAX... Some day I'd love to make it out to Bonneville to witness this spectacle in person. Regards, John

Thomas, Add me to the growing list of folks who need more details on the Route 66 trip! When I finally finish my 55 Bel Air Wagon, we plan to do the same trip. We were thinking about shipping the cars out on rail (and ride along with them, if possible), then driving them home, at a relaxed...

Re: Lou Bingham '28 Roadster - Restoration Update Thomas, I think the smile on Lou's face in this picture pretty much says it all... Very cool. Regards, John

Chris, I agree with you about the Omni/Horizon being a great little car. Quick story for your (& Tom's) entertainment... In 1978, I took my first Engineering job at the Chrysler Proving Grounds in Chelsea, MI. At the time, there were lots of Omnis running around the grounds, and I loved them...

Chris & Tom, I join with all the followers on your Journey in congratulating you on your beautiful new home! I hope you had enough energy to stay up for what proved to be a Super Bowl for the ages. Your entire thread shares a bond with Tom Brady. They are both G.O.A.T. (Greatest Of All...

Thomas & Chris, Everything is beyond beautiful with your new home. The attention to detail and the clever stream of ideas never cease to amaze me! Never again will I be comfortable with saying a job was done 'well enough'. And I consider that to be a GOOD thing... One question, if I may...

Congratulations Tom for making the February, 2015 issue of Chevy Classics magazine! The article is about the PSMCD event at Stanton, MI. There is a nice picture of your car up against Steve Arp's '70 454 LS6 Chevelle. I'm sure you already have the magazine in hand, but I wanted to give you...

Hi Thomas, I was over at my other favorite website, TriFive.com, reading a post from a member selling a pair of Corvair bucket seats. Someone who was interested in the seats asked where the seller was located, to which he replied, "I'm just south of Champaign Urbana, the small town of Philo"...

Re: Beltsville Shell I just finished reading Beltsville Shell. Thomas sent it to me after he and Chris read it. It's a quick read and a very fun book that will take you back in time and put a smile on your face. I'm ready to send it to the first lucky person who sends me a PM (with a U.S...

Hi Tom, I almost made it to the strip to watch you. In response to my wife's question as to what I wanted to do on Father's Day, I said, "I'd like to go to Martin and watch Tom drag race". She had no issue with it, so I checked the schedule online, only to discover that you would be running...

Thomas, Thanks for posting the warning about old fuel lines! :shocking: Quite frankly, I never really thought about how quickly these lines might deteriorate, or what effect today's fuels might have. I was just out yesterday taking a friend for a ride in my 1959 Vette (picture below). I've...

Hi Thomas & Chris, Just another 'Lurker' checking in from Michigan. I've been reading this thread for months (mostly during lunchtime at work) and I finally 'caught up'. I've been wanting to compliment and thank you since the early pages, but I felt the need to wait until I was current. I...

GM, I went with Re-Verber-Ray. I chose the LD series, which is the dual output level. Check out this webpage for a lot of good info on theory, advantages, etc. With your high ceiling, I think this would be the easiest and most comfortable option. Best of Luck whichever way you go...
