I haven't updated in awhile since the contractor finished, but the short update is that it took over a month for the contractor to get the 8' overhead doors installed and I couldn't do anything until that was done (inspection) (don't even get me started, but since it was the only real complaint...

    Harbor Freight Coupon Thread

I just used the 20% off entire purchase one in store. Unfortunately, it will even kick off any FREE item coupon you try to use. I was only buying one large item (the drywall lift to finish the garage!), and I couldn't use the free tape measure coupon. Since I only had one other item, it would...

Yeah, I never updated after they finished, or almost finished. The below pics were taken a little over a week ago, a day after the last pics were taken. They were almost done, but they hadn't ordered the track kits to roll the overhead doors up to the 10'. Now, to me, this seems like common...

    Father Son Projects

My son is 3.5 right now also. Just a little thing, but when he got a "big boy bed" a few weeks ago, he needed a stool to climb into it. I had an old one in the workshop, so I got out some leftover blue paint, and he helped me paint it (with a brush, not aerosol). He did a good job and is very...

    Model A Ford garage

Bobby, his pickup was not a roadster. I don't remember much else about it. It was what he had in progress when he passed in 1992. You read my mind on the pickup though. Whether I restore one or buy one complete/done, I was thinking a truck. I love them all, but I'd like to have an A truck...

Love the Cuda. I had an orange '70 Barracuda (not 'Cuda) with factory 383 4-speed in the early '90s. Garage is going up fast! :3gears: They forgot to cut out for the a/c so they're going to do that tomorrow. The 10' walls are far more imposing in person up close.

    Model A Ford garage

From the estate auction info, I know he had a 31 Deluxe Roadster in Riviera Blue and Black, a '31 Pickup, and I have pictures of the below green '28 Roadster and also his '27 Dodge (with me "driving"). I remember all of those, and also a tan coupe that I have no info on, and there were other...

    Model A Ford garage

Love the Model A's. "Young" is a relative term I suppose, but I'm 43. My grandfather was a Model A restorer, so I grew up around them. I'd love to find one of his, but I wouldn't have any way of tracing it unless someone knew it was his or had the title records or whatever. I only have pictures...

Talk Mopar all you want gents... never a bad time for that. Move Over People Are Racing! Sublime, I like your truck also, caught it in your avatar. My grandfather always drove a black '71 Ford. Any old truck is good in my book. That '71 was probably the first vehicle I ever drove, back when...

Thanks! My plan for this fall is to seal the concrete, insulate walls & ceiling with OSB up on both, and electric run to garage and probably roughed in. Depending on when it's done and how soon winter hits. At this point, I'm not all that concerned about heat, but in the plans, I did have them...

Hello, new here, this is my first post. I've been lurking for awhile and have gotten a lot of ideas off of you all! I'm mostly into cars... Mopars mostly, but I appreciate any cool car. Other specific likes are British sports cars, mainly MGs, and Ford Model A's (my grandfather was a Model A...
