    Air cut off tool question

    Are air die grinders and cut off tools interchangeable? I know that one comes with a mandrel and the cut off tool has a place to bolt on the wheel and cover, but they seem to run at the same speed. Are the motors any different? Just curious.

    A bit of an update. Now that I have daylight, I was able to see the O-rings below backers. The rings were stiff but not hard. I replaced them both and while better, it still slides stiffly. How smoothly and easily should the piston slide in the bore?
