    '46 Delta DP600 Restoration

Anyone have a spare DP-645 slow speed pulley for the motor side without any damage/missing chunks they'd be willing to part with? Last thing I'm needing to wrap up the drill press and been struggling to find one the last couple months.

    '46 Delta DP600 Restoration

Minus the motor, about buttoned up with the restoration. Last 2 pieces remaining are a decision on the chuck and I'm trying to track down the shafts/lever + knobs that goes to the hub to raise/lower the quill. Can't seem to find anything that doesn't reek of made in china. if anyone has a...

    '46 Delta DP600 Restoration

I was able to get it off a couple nights ago, took a little creativity but more or less used the wedge approach. Taking apart the quill and swapping those 2 bearings out went pretty smoothly. Couldn't sleep this morning so went out and got the head installed and cleaned up most of the remaining...

    '46 Delta DP600 Restoration

Was able to get the table put back on today. Tried a couple weeks ago, and the gears for the raise/lower mechanism I guess had a slight bind in it and snapped off 2 teeth. The worm gear had a slight damage from the previous owner, so not sure if that contributed to it or not, but was able to...

    '46 Delta DP600 Restoration

Been making some progress over the last couple weeks. Everything minus the chuck has been fully disassembled at this point. Decided to buy the cheapo HF sandblaster instead of taking the parts somewhere with the goal to have everything re-assembled except the head over Thanksgiving. That was a...

    '46 Delta DP600 Restoration

Hello! I had been searching on and off the last few years for an old drill press to restore (Craftsman, Delta, Atlas, etc). Normally, anything decent is 500+ miles or way too expensive so I hadn't found an excuse to pick up another project. An old Delta popped up on Facebook for a decent deal a...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Been building my wife a fire wood holder out by the shop for her birthday. Need to cut the posts down and get the roof installed here in the next couple weeks.

Recommended Max Working Torque by Drive Size?

Curious what impact sockets & drives from different materials are rated for. My 3/8" Fuel Stubby impact is good for up to 250 ft-lbs and my IR pneumatic is 475 ft-lbs

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

There is a throttle stop I believe (there is a screw that one would assume is a stop), I haven't messed with it or anything else mechanically yet. She's 1 in April, so still have at least another year before I can even consider putting her on it, if not 2. We have a OSET 12.5R she'll start on...

    Socket Organization

I'm using some magnetic trays currently for all of my metric sockets (majority of everything I work on is metric). Slapped these on the side of my cabinets and keeps them convenient to access, easy to move without them falling out, easy to remove but out of the way.

    Attach Dirtbike “Tie-bar” to F150 bed - I’m stuck

I've done it on 5.5ft beds. On the bike facing backwards, you do straps to the pegs to pull it to the front of the bed. The straps to the bars is just for holding the bars straight and give some side to side support. I usually then tie off a rope to all of the tires at the rear of the bed to...

    Attach Dirtbike “Tie-bar” to F150 bed - I’m stuck

Why use this and not the factory tie downs or the box link tie down points that come with the trucks? I've had 4 bikes using the box link tie down points with no major issues (2 forward + 2 backwards)
