Thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately, one of the previous owners had the garage built, so I don't know who manufactured the trusses. It sounds like 5/8 drywall on the furring strips is probably the best way to go.

I have a 24 x 30 garage with 2x4 trusses 24" on center. I've read that I can put up 1x3 furring strips 16" on center and hang 1/2 inch ceiling grade drywall on top of the furring strips. I'm looking for feedback if this a viable plan? I have also thought about going with 5/8 but I have some...

I just picked up a propane fueled 75K BTU Mr. Heater unit for my garage. I would like to run black pipe to a 100lb tank behind my garage. Would anyone have any suggestions on pipe size? What does the hookup generally look like on the outside by the tank? I already talked to a local propane...
