I've been waxing my chains since I built up my first "serious" bike - a Mikkelsen filet brazed SL/SP frame with full Dura Ace components back in ~87. Anecdotal, I know, but I have never worn out a chain ring or a cassette on any of my bikes. Chains, of course, are consumables.

The "traditional rule" is that you don't wear a hat indoors. Reinforced by the military - get caught outside without your hat, you get dinged. Wear your hat indoors, you get dinged. By the way, cowboy hats are a great equalizer - they make everyone look stupid...

Thanks guys. I'm not questioning the effectiveness of these jump packs. I've had a "Pilot" model that HD used to sell for years, but it died (batteries swelled up so much that it split the case apart). Hence the Amazon purchase. My question is how they can claim 3-4,000 Amps of peak current...

Yeah, I missed it too the first time through. There's a light green banner that says "Free gift with purchase." If you click on the banner, the free battery and charger pop up. Lowes would probably sell a lot more if they didn't "hide" the deal.

As Crabman said, good deal - includes a free Core (21700 cells) 4Ah battery and a charger. Just ordered 1 - Lowes says I saved $179.00 - Hah. This brings my Bosch stash to 3 chargers, 3 Core 8Ah and 4 Core 4Ah batteries. Deal is good through Oct 19th.

That's a shame - Thorsen used to be good tools - a set of metric combo wrenches I bought in the early '70's is still my "go-to" set. Now the Thorsen name is just slapped on chinesium junk.

That might be handy if you were using it as a spinner with a T-handle, but the set doesn't include a T-handle and I can hold the shaft as it turns in my hand, so the sleeves still puzzle me. I don't see their usefulness.
