    Sams club LED'S

I have a 30x60' shop and just finished installing the 4' LED lights from costco. I previously had 150w single socket flood type lights and they were terrible. For my space I had 12 and just used the $1.88 plug to socket converters and hung the lights. I still have a few left to add, but very...

    Shrinkage cracks getting worse

***** about your floor. I have seen worse, but looks like there is not enough compacted rock base below it, the mesh should be rebar in my opinion, and it needs to be on adobe or stones to lift it up out of the concrete. I hate when I see people go along and pull it up as they pour. Don't...

New house- New Garage, Finally... NEW SHOP!

Almost have the bathroom office area done. The space is kind of strange being so long and skinny, but it still leaves a lot of the space in the shop usable. Here is a pic of the floor done. Going to put chair rail down the middle and then finish painting. I ended up using vinyl plank in a...

    Fiber Optic vs Cat6

When using shielded cable if you don't use the proper terminations and ground the plugs you are making matters worse. Your basically creating a huge antenna to bring in interference. Why in the world would you want shielded cable for home use? Are you running an old school PRI or T1 from an...

Wera screwdriver broke on first use

Crazy. I bought two sets of wera screw drivers and have not had any issues at all. Love them! Just at lunch I was using a chisel driver model on a really rusted tight screw and it held up great and did not slip. I have to say for the money I really really like the cheap wiha blue and black...

I guess compressors really can 'splode!

Mine does not have anything clogged or any rust for sure. The air comes out very quickly and you can feel in there that there is no blockage. I just live in a very dry climate. Yeah I wasn't referring to the quality of the compressor having anything to do with it. Just saying I have been...

I guess compressors really can 'splode!

After reading this thread I remembered I haven't drained my compressor for about 5-7 weeks. I ran it down last night and drained it and got not one drop of water. Just a slightly darker spot on the concrete when the air was coming out from some moisture. It's a Puma 20 Gallon compressor...

Just got burglarized, what do I do now?

Re: Just got Robbed, what do I do now? I think a barking dog is usually the best. Might look into something like this.. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00BHV6FY6/?tag=atomicindus08-20

What do you use for a shop vac?

I threw an almost brandnew shop vac 6hp away in a dumpster cause it.. well, did not ****... I replaced it with a Ridgid shop vac from Home Depot and it is AWESOME! Love the locking hose and longer hose accessories. Can't say enough about the ridgid one!

snap-on tool chest at costco for $3500?

Afford is a funny word. I'd say it's more like only 1% of people actually need Snap-on, of that 1% only 1% pay cash and the rest is on credit to the truck. So to me afford means that they can pay cash. Seems very silly to me to have a tool on a note? Two types of people in the world. Those...

do i have good reason to complain or am i being an a hole?

Re: do i have good reason to complain or am i being an a hole?9 So there is a small puddle now, but what happens when you get a storm and 2 inches of rain in a day or two? Then you end up with a flood in your garage? It is frustrating, because concrete is hard to repair or make right after...

do i have good reason to complain or am i being an a hole?

Re: do i have good reason to complain or am i being an a hole?9 In my opinion, if water ever runs into the garage from outside, this is a huge problem! I'd raise hell. Me personally, in the garage, I'd rather have it completely flat and the water just dry on the floor.

    Kyle's Garage Project

I have the same snap-on rebranded stool and it is actually awesome. I weight 300lbs and it seems to hold up good. I also got the cheap LED work light with the small stand and it is AWESOME! Very bright and I dropped it off the top of my outboard motor 6' onto concrete and the lights all still...
