    Epoxy or Sealant Under Tiles

I'll be placing tiles over the floor so I'm not too worried about tire marks. I'm mainly looking for a barrier to keep liquids from discoloring the concrete. Does anyone have experience with Behr Epoxy from HD? I could buy a few gallons of this to cover the floors for pretty cheap.

    Epoxy or Sealant Under Tiles

No, this house was built in the late 90's. It sounds like a sealer isn't the way to go here based on what you've said. I have used the Rust-Oleum epoxy kit in the past but was thinking it would be marginally cost more for a better epoxy. I've read that there are several types but if you...

    Epoxy or Sealant Under Tiles

I'll be moving soon and am looking to add a sealer or epoxy for my garage concrete before I lay tiles on top (Swisstrax). The main thing I'm looking for is to protect the concrete from oil or other liquids I spill. What would you recommend for my situation? I may wash my car in my garage in the...

Another hobby I have is shooting. My wife and father-in-law specializes with shotguns, ***** shooting to be exact. He’s designed his own shotgun stocks which significantly improves ergonomics and reduces recoil. Here’s some one of his latest. High quality wood with beautiful grain. 4 stage...

Apparently my cars all needed brake changes this past year, so here’s another one. I’ll save some details but here are a few pics of the Audi A4’s rear. Retracting the rear piston was a huge pain in the ****. I used a wire brush and removed a little rust here to show the contrast. I’m a bit...

OBD2 Scanner, Need help picking out a good all around option.

Both of our cars are of the same make and same with my friends. If you have multiple makes, you can buy the additional makes and add it to the device (I think it's $60 or $80). It's limited to the memory so you could buy a new memory card if you have 6+ different car makes. I don't know what...

    Favorite 1/4" ratchet.

I just bought a Koken 1/4” zeal set and it is really slick. Slim sockets, slim head, low back drag, and really high quality for mid tier price range. Check out the link in my signature to read my review on them.

Anyone ever go back to basics? Simpler/Cheaper tools

I started buying tools in college when I worked on my motorcycles. Hand me downs from my dad, cheap singles or random sets here and there were purchased on an as needed basis. Just like alexbuz above, I was always missing something. A bit frustrated, I bought my first proper socket set in 1/2"...

OBD2 Scanner, Need help picking out a good all around option.

I use a Foxwell NT530 for 2 of my cars and it does a great job. Release/engage e-brake, program airbag light, program spoiler, DME report, etc. They regularly have sales and can be had for the $150 range.

    Imagine not having tools.

Imagine no tools... that is an expensive life style! According to this I guess I fall into the 3rd category. I have saved so much money doing my own maintenance and DIY projects it's crazy. Just doing the brakes on 2 of our cars alone saved me at least $1k each. Ever since I was a little kid...

    Reusing Fluid Transfer Pump

For differential fluid, I use this. I just pump it directly from the brake fluid bottle so only the pump and its hoses get dirty. I also wash everything afterwards with soap and water.

    The Milwaukee addiction thread! :)

I bought an air compressor last year and I've been dying to get tools for it, but the Milwaukee cordless tools are so convenient and do the job so well. M12 3/8" stubby pulls everything off except the big suspension bolts (breaker bar needed). Large inflatable pool toys and car detailing does...

    Tools of Japan

When you find something you like, you keep coming back. Our his n hers 1/2” set was a bit aggressive so we grabbed a 1/4” set to accommodate the random house needs and so that I’d have a complete 1/4” socket set. I opted for the zeal set as I’ve read great things in the tool section...
