    small garage

My best suggestion would be the threads in the garage gallery, there are a lot of great ideas there. I'm actually in the same boat as you, though living large with a 18x12 that is original to the 1920 home we are restoring. Eventually I will get to the garage portion!

    Vintage Refrigerators

I have an old red GE Monitor Top from the 30's, pretty reliable fridge, does not use much power at all. The best feature is the the lever you can step on to open the door when your hands are full!

    Gov Deals

I signed up for the Govdeals website yesterday and got an email today asking for a copy of my driver's license. Is that normal?

    Expanding a 2 car into a 3 car

It is possible, you might be able to change the front entrance completely to something that she even likes better!

    Expanding a 2 car into a 3 car

Honestly, if she likes the entryway she will hate the garage addition. It closes it off quite a bit and makes it cramped. Completely changes the look of the front of the house too.

Hobby Lobby - Garage / Man Cave Art

The one here in Des Moines had metal signs that were reproductions of old 'CARtoons' magazine covers. I snagged those!

Went in for to get vehicle battery replacement from oreily auto parts and......

Are the AC Delco batteries still any good? I am needing to replace the battery in one of my Celebritys and the one in there is a 12 year old Delco! Seems they are hard to find now?

2x6 strength? How much weight will a truss in my garage hold?

I have removed a couple of engines this way (one car, one boat) and it worked like a charm. One thing I did different though was to drill a hole in the truss on each side of the vehicle and have a long 2X4 on both sides of it going to the ground to hold the load. Not the most professional, but...

Slight sag to foundation on my lil 1920 garage

Thanks for all the replies! It kind of confirms what I was thinking unfortunately. I think the plan at this point will be to put some gutters on it and slope some dirt away on the exposed north side. Also planning on fixing the cracked concrete on the outside as well, I will then monitor it from...

Hello all! Joined quite a while ago but have mainly lurked since then. Have always wanted to build a bigger garage on my property, but glad I didnt as we bought a new (to us) house instead! The new house comes with a matching garage built at the same time as the house. It is fairly small...

    Vintage Work Bench

This thread is awesome, I love the old vintage stuff. I found this old fridge at an auction for one dollar. Its a (rare I guess) mid thirties Stewart-Warner fridge! Never even knew they made them till I found this one. It will be pretty useless as a fridge in it's condition (& I have my GE...

    Old epoxy floor

Hello all, I will be moving into a new place later this year, and am quite pleased to finally be getting a decent garage. My current 1920's model just does not cut it!! The new place's garage was built in the early 90's, and had an industrial epoxy floor put on it at that time. The floor is...
