PSC 1000 in an Ultrasonic cleaner?

So I have an ultrasonic cleaner, not one of the gigantic uber-expensive ones but not a 1-quart H/F one either. This thing holds 9-liters which is about, I don't know, about 30 pounds or 3 feet of, awe, never mind. Who cares? Anyway, I use PSC 1000 solvent. The same stuff that I use in my...

    Tool ID help

I came a cross a stud gun called an Amma Studgun model S at one time located in Portland Oregon. I can't find any info on this. It looks like a freakin' deathray. This is clearly a high powered deal with some sort of centerfire fired projectile. Can anyone shed some light on this tool or...

Wow! Too many shop lights to choose from

All I need is some bright lights in my basement shop. I looked on Lowe's sight and there must be a zilion of them; from $15 to $50 dollars. What am I missing here? What's the difference between them? All I need are 4 chain hung, 4ft lights. I obviously want the brightest I can get. Looks are...

    Cold cut saw?

I'm getting fairly confused about which cold cut saw to buy. I've seen some that are made by MK Morse, DeWalt and Makita. They all turn about the same speed...1,300 RPM+-. Then I saw some on Enco's sight that were twice as much money. They turned at 52 RPM...52 RPM?? Anyway, looking to move to...

    Best drill bits...period?

I'm sure there is a learning curve and I'll take all advice to heart...So is there no difference between HF and high quality bits if I use the proper procedures? All things being equal, what are the better drill bits?

    Air tool cleaner fluid?

I just found a bottle of air tool "cleaner" fluid in my garage. Like may things at my age, I don't recall how it got here or where it came from....thus the brother-in-law in the guest room. Anyone ever us this stuff? Not the brother-in-law, the cleaner fluid.

    Best drill bits...period?

I use tapping fluid if I can find it. Kroil if I can't. I use slowest speed that my patience will allow. That means good, slow speed of my drill press...not so much when using a hand drill.

    Best drill bits...period?

What are the best quality drill bits? Do they really hold their edge longer? I'm tired of buying Harbor freight and then throwing them away. Yes, I use oil... This would be for metal. Drilling wood I can live with. Is just buying a Drill doctor as an alternative and buying cheap HF drill bits?

    3-axis vise?

I'd like to find a 3-axis vise that doesn't use a ball socket. Anyone know where to look? The only one I found was a British product...and flying vise's across the ocean doesn't seem economically wise.

I was worried a CP and HF were the same.

I just can't believe they can get away with making it look identical. Even the exploded view is VERY deceptive. I even called CP and asked. They just didn't know what to tell me. I was sure that it was the same tool, made by a third party Chinese company that HF and CP both rebranded.
