My 30x40 Pole Barn Garage pics

Paul, I hired the exterior build, so I'm not sure what you mean by double stacked ledger boards on the outside. I have foam under the roof metal and 20" of blown in fiberglass in the attic and a white metal ceiling.

They are aluminum insulated 10x8 doors and the color on the walls is an off-white.

Addictive is right! I joined for info as I built my garage and I still find myself on here everyday. It sure helps me enjoy my garage even more.

Just curious Glenn, where do you put the screws with the steel reversed? I put mine in the flat sections, but it would draw it in if you did that with the tin reversed. In the grooves maybe?

I just put up vapor barrier and then screwed the panels to the studs. I blew fiberglass in for insulation.

Very nice Glenn...I like the reversed tin! My inside measurements were less than 40', so I had a few inches of overlap too. Very nice looking garage Glenn!

I had to special order the 20' length from the local lumberyard. It only took a week and cost around $40 a sheet. It took about a week for the special order to get in.

    receptacle code question

I wouldn't do that. First of all, if the breakers are connected to opposite buss bars you have the potential for 220 in the box. Also, someone will eventually "kill" the power to work on the box and will only have half of the power off. I doubt that it would meet code in Canada.

    Finished my garage ceiling!

It is definitely a 2-3 man job because it is a thinner gauge, but it feels the same as the outside siding. We put one man up top to fit the boxes and support straps for the garage doors, etc. We used a drywall hoist and a homeade "T" to hold it in place. We used 20' sheets on a 40' barn, so...

    Finished my garage ceiling!

I picked it mostly because I like the looks. The tin only costs me $855 and once installed it was done...no painting or finishing. It would be loud if I worked with air tools, but I don't use them very often. The installation was easy and it simply was screwed to the wood with pole barn...

It is actually a liner, which is a little thinner, but still plenty strong. No problems with the electrical wires being nicked. The material (tin) cost me $855.

I run an 11,000 member forum for Polaris Ranger enthusiasts at www.prcforum.com. I built my garage because I now own three Rangers and we ride them in the Mountains of Kentucky and Tennessee and the dunes of Michigan.
