    mr heater/hot dawg

I have a Hot Dawg 45000 btu and love it. I ran the gas line on the finished wall black iron pipe. It looks nice and I can access if needed. For a shop I wouldn't bury it in the wall. Mike

    Smokey Mr. Heater?

Any new heater just out of the box has a coating that will burn off when its first started up. It is so the unit won't rust when its in the warehouse.

Total cost heating & insurance for 40x48x14 shop?

I would use a Modine Hot Dawg 65000 btu propane heater. You can look them up on the web. I have a 45000 btu but my shop is smaller. They should have no effect on your insurance because they are made for shops. I leave my shop at 50 degrees and it will come up to temp when I'm out there Mike
