So, ironically enough I got a call yesterday from the dealer and the parts needed for the upper control arm pinch bolt replacement were in. I had them installed in an hour this morning at the dealer and I'm good to go.
Good thing I had washed it yesterday so I could bring in a clean...
Inspected the suspect bolts on the Jeep. Used my finest chinesium micrometer and the bolts were 0.004 inches different in length. Now, maybe they are both stretched too far but looking with my calibrated eyeball, they look to not have any "necking" going on in the gap. Could be hidden though...
Checked to see if Jeep had the parts for the recall on the '23 Grand Cherokee. Website says "parts are available". Call dealer; "we'll have to call you back". They don't call back. Call dealer 5 hours later and they say that Jeep is "trickling the parts out" and they have a "priority list"...
Woof. That's unfortunate. Are they trying to be a BMW? My 2023 Jeep GC has oil pressure in the gauges (electronic) so I assumed Ford had it too.
So I guess 30mm ammo count is the consensus then.
Steal the Walker that @watchJRgo (youtube) bought and refurbed.
And, having survived a short stint in the DC/NoVA area, push mowers are not a healthy choice.
If you aren't a DIY'er, get one from a place that sells and services their gear. You're not getting that Home Depot/Lowes mower...
I forgot to mention to lose the standard garage door openers and go with a jackshaft GDO with the garage door rails tucked up tight to the ceiling (will allow for a 4 post lift should you ever want one or two.
I agree 100% having lived with this with my first Las Vegas garage (see link below).
given the space you have, have you considered (as other has suggested) a full width garage door and centering the lift in the back section of the garage so you have room to work? If you need to store more...
The only sensible thing to do is LS swap your mower. /endthread
In all seriousness, can you wrap a piece of tin can over the area with wire or something?
Thank you. I do like the end look.
The runout is not good. At least 0.01 inch using my cheap chinesium dial indicator.
I may not have seated the chuck perfectly as it is friction fit, but I believe the quill is tweaked from abuse.
