I am just building my 32 X 40 dream shop and when the concrete floor is put in I want to be able to mount tools into a floor mount.
There will be 3 or 4 spots I would like to install them. 2 near to the back to be able to attach a winch for pulling vehicles and the like and a couple mounted...

Just finished reading your whole episode and enjoyed it thoroughly. I have a 50 x 30 that is in about the same state as yours when you started and it has inspired me.
One of the things you could do with your air lines to connect them is to use a custom made hydraulic hose. I made one up...
A whole bunch of things have come to light through this thread and I concur with most of what the guys are saying. IF you are handy then some of the cost can be recouped but if you are just going to use it for storage only then it will be expensive storage if you are going to sell your home...
Now would be the time to take some old pointed sticks and some string and lay out the floor plan like you have it in your head. It will give some sense of the actual sizes.
What I draw on paper or in my head is not what happens in reality. Like life itself it seems.
Should be a nice setup...
I parked my 1998 40' Vectra motorhome in a quonset that was approx 60 x 40 with the front facing the 14' high x 20' wide door. Ran a hose out from the gray water tank and used a 100 gal tank to get rid of the black water (which was 2 1/2 times the size of the one in the motorhome). The quonset...
Glass doors in master bath got installed
Looks awful! maybe you should just not move in, tell me where this is and I will fix the tape hinges on the glass as a favor.
I am sure you have had just about enough bad jokes but I can't resist. But now you see why none of us are full time...
I have used the low clearance tracks and they are the only way to go. Mounted mine so there was about 4 inches of clearance between the tracks and the ceiling which was just enough room to install door openers and just enough room for the torsion springs. Leaves it a bit tight to work on but...
Re: Tips & Tricks
This works really well when you just need a temporary magnetic screwdriver as well. Charge it up as said above or rub it against a magnet and when you are done just whack it against a vise a couple of times and voila the magnetism is gone.
Really like your idea!
Tack up the boards you are going to use as the filler, and then tack a top and bottom strip against it and then remove the filler strip. Take a router with a flush cut or drywall router and follow the 2 temporary strips and the one you will use as the permanent one will...
I would not run 1 pipe / conduit for all electrical. Separate them into 2 runs - 1 low voltage / signal wiring and 1 for power. The "noise" from the electrical power may affect your other cables and cause issues.
Also here in Alberta it is against the law / building codes to do so. There is a...
This is one of my portable welding tables / portable workbenches. I have a few of them but this one is the heavy duty one. I could probably stand on it (but never have). The other ones I use now and again but are definitely not as heavy duty as this one.
You can only warn people with the best knowledge possible and then let them make a decision. This is why we vote for our governments and I can tell you that even with the best knowledge idiots still get elected.
Having PVC air lines is a choice. Not mine but I have seen pictures of guys on step...
Mine looks like 24x26's green one but is just waiting for the complete rebuild. It looks like it was way too well used before I picked it up at auction for $50 and has worked flawlessly for over 2 years. It is my most used single plug in tool.
But I really also want one of the back and forth...
You know I am getting really tired of you guys getting ALL the good stuff and then showing it off. Just kidding !!!
That is a really great score and I am sooo envious. Of you and the rest of the guys who make these scores.
