Not something I'm into, but you could get any temp/humidity sensor (like govee) that is compatible with Home Assistant along with a HA compatible thermostat. Then your config sits behind Home Assistant instead of the thermostat.

My guess is when the fan(s) are spinning slower it's easier to have two fans pushing air past a thinner array than one fan past a thicker array.

Lol, when I had to add a grounding rod for my heat pump inverter (existing electrical pull did not have one), it was an 1/2 copper plated grounding rod that went 8ft into the ground.
