In elementary school, we were told the metric system was just around the corner, so we better study it. Fast forward 45-50 years later, and the US is still a hodge-podge of Imperial and Metric, more metric than before due to our now global economies.

none of your choices have quick-release, but to each his own. I have the HF pro flex model, paid $15 for it on sale - fine ratchet it is - but probably won't use it as much as my q/r's.
HF makes a nice snap-on look-alike with qr, but I've seen it only in sets and does not have the flex head.

Memory is cloudy as it was 25-30 years ago that I last saw it. I'm thinking the layout was more like the one, or exactly like, the unit I just bought on ebay. Yours is a variation of that, and there could be more variations out there.
