One detail I left out is that the builder and mason are separate entities and have provided independent estimates, and will be paid independently, so we are already breaking down payments in that respect.

Ok I completely agree on the payment advice, I will see if we can work out a different plan there so I'm not putting up such a big chunk in advance. Also good to know that it is not typical to display costs in the estimate. Keep it coming guys, much appreciated.
