Does Radiant Floor heat make sense

Lots of radiant heating systems here in Fairbanks. I like going around while places are being built just to see how different companies do different things. Every and I mean every radiant heat set up I’ve seen here has the pex attached to the blue board.

Maybe I’m mistaken but don’t you have to wait before coating the concrete spot can cure?

Designing a Car Guy Garage, Drawing Feedback Welcome!

I wash my cars in the garage all of the time. It’s a great way to do it. I use one of those brass shutoff valves to help control the water pressure. I also have the main hose which hooks up to the sink and that connects to a Y and I have two hoses. One for each side of the car.

    Car condo owners, in here

The problem with this is you’re going to get the standard POS 19’x18’ two car garage with 8’ ceilings. Still no room to work and not high enough for any sort of lift.

    DIY/Wood Car Stands(Cribbing)...Let's see them!

This is what I do. I do one corner at a time. I go around the car and go up 3” on each lift. Sure it takes a while but there are always 3 tires solidly resting on the cribbing. Maybe I should build a shop and get a lift but that’s a problem for a different day.

Is lead the new gold ?

I think lead is expensive because every place smelting lead (at least that’s what I think it is called) in the US has been closed down by the EPA.

Did my garage addition in 2016. I’m pretty sure I couldn’t afford to do it today.

How can I get this supply hose off?

I wish I thought of this when I installed these hoses. I’ll always look for brass in the future.

How can I get this supply hose off?

I wasn’t aware of it but there was a small leak at the top of the faucet where the stem comes out. I tightened the packing nut and it stopped the water leak. The box is pretty well hidden by the washing machine.

How can I get this supply hose off?

Figured it was time to change the washing machine supply hoses just to play it safe. The cold was no problem but it looks like the hot has some corrosion. I’ve been soaking it with PB Blaster but I haven’t gotten it to budge. I can get some channel locks on it but I don’t want to put too much...

    About Bleeding Brakes.

Yes. I do this when I replace the fluid. I have not tried this when replacing a caliper or brake hose but I think it would work. I use a clear piece of hose and put it on the bleeder a crack it lose. You can see the fluid move and you can see when the clean fluid is in the hose. Sure it takes a...
