I don't know about 10-20°F weather, as I live in S TX, but when it gets cold (~40°F), they take longer to warm up. This longer warm up period is still only ~2 mins. I can live with that in living space, but not in the garage.

Flash off, upstairs room (31' x 31'), 9' ceiling, unfinished, 6 cans with 65W eq CFL (13W actual). As soon as the lights are energized... 20 secs after energized... 1 min after energized... another angle (probably 1 min 20 secs)... Downstairs (31'W x 50' deep), 8' and 11.5' ceilings...

Lift not too Expensive The Eagle 9000lb lift was ~$1600 with free shipping. I actually purchased in March, but did not install until November in order to capitalize on the free shipping. It ***** doing a ZF ****** install on your back.

Is there rebar planned for the garage floor? It looks like you are ready to pour, yet no steelwork? Very nice build! I also really like the 4x4, it looks similar to something I used to own.

No issue with the height of the structure, as it is not nearly as tall as the house. The garage addition is ~25' tall and you will note in some of the latter pics that it is only 3' taller than the existing peak on the old garage. The roof of my house must be 37'-40', as I know my 34'...
