I just had a 3900 put in my shop, its the same as the 3800, just doesnt have the fancy button for opening it, works great! The installer said that there is a 2 second window when programing it for the force settings... He had to adjust the tension on the door before he programed the opener...

No Benjamin Moore paint here in Alaska, Sherwin williams was $55 a gallon after my discount, It better last...

Thats what my buddy did, I went ahead and am putting on the sherwin williams, its the best we have here, after 2 coats it looks good. Have to see how it lasts. If it doesnt hold up then I'll get exterior paint and go that route

Ok so I built my shop a year ago, put 2 coats of primer on and then 2 coats of semi gloss speed wall by glidden... The paint *****! Can't wipe anything off of it, it's not white anymore, it's more of a light brown from dust, etc I went and bought some sherwin Williams emerald white semi gloss...

Get rid of the plastic box, buy the good one, makes a world of difference! The hawk is also a nice tool. When doing mud work, I always start with a 6" knife or so and work my way up to a bigger one, that way your floating out the mud and seam, less to sand later

I built my 20x30 x 11' ceilings, shop last year, I've already outgrown it! Put in lots of lights, lots more outlets then you will ever need, my door is 10'5" wide by 9' tall. I should have went way bigger. If I had found this site before I built, I would be way better off. Also custom door...

Awesome work! I love the storage and organization ideas! Just have to buy a few more tools now, cause in Alaska to have anything made is insanely priced.

I wish I would have seen this before I went and bought/built my benches! Absolutely perfect set up for my limited space... I've been trying to figure out how to organize my shop for the last year, since I built it... Time to put a bunch of stuff on Craigslist and start fabing up the new bench...
