    Ramp Joint Puzzle

Is something preventing you from using 2 support boards? You could have solid support under each ramp board. Clamp them together so nothing moves.

    Quickjack stuck in up position...Rust?

Even if you get them down will you ever feel confident using them again? I think it's time to scrap them. Something is seriously wrong.

Little AC (RV roof unit) help

I just replaced the capacitor in one of my units. The original was 1499-576. I ordered one with that model number and the exact electrical specs. Went to put it in and it was 3/4" longer and wouldn't fit. Did some more searching on line and found one the same size as the original. Same number...

    Anyone using splined sockets?

Sometimes I grab a splined socket when I don't know if the fastener is standard or metric. They usually work but failed me today. I needed to work on the AC on the roof of the RV. I didn't know what fasteners I would encounter so I took the splined socket set up with me. I needed to remove a...

    Christmas Lights That last

I bought several sets of LED lights from Ace Hardware 5 years ago. Not a single failure yet. Ace calls them commercial grade.

    Trailer length confusion?

The zoning requirements should be in writing somewhere. Have you reviewed them?

Mounting a hoist/lift in the rafters

This seems like a lot of work to get moving boxes onto a 9' loft. You can't get them there using a step ladder?

Does Building code or electrical code determine hole placement in studs?

Is the problem just with the 2 studs in the photo or is it the entire wall? How many studs? How long is the wire run you'd have to pull out?

    4-post lift questions

I put mine where I had the most room. Left front on 2 of them and right rear on the other. You'll probably only have 2 choices on diagonal corners.

Car lift - is it worth it when you're old

Absolutely do it. I'm your age and have had a 4 post for about 10 years. I wouldn't hesitate to buy one at my age. Have you looked at prices lately? I don't know what you're going to get for $4-5K.

I do all that stuff on mine and the tiles still look great.

    Bendpak HD-9 Going up Slow

I'd stop using it until you correct the problem. You run the risk of not being able to build enough pressure to lift it off the locks or of it coming down very quickly.

    Pulled the trigger on Racedeck

That's really nice. I like the colors and pattern.

    Quickjack vs Vevor vs Bendpak?

I have a Quickjack and have never been happy with it. The hydraulic connectors that came with it leaked. I think Quickjack sent me 5 connectors over several weeks before the leaks went away. They are heavy and difficult to position under a low car. Getting them perfectly parallel is important...
