Vise and Grinder stands. I'm looking for ideas on how to use several in limited space

Some really sweet designs and originality shown here. I'm all for simple and efficient, but going through all these pages and being inspired, I may try to make it artful and unique. Plus welding is fun, and always looking for an excuse to practice and hone the craft. I have a bunch of fairly...

    1919 Reed 204 1/2 restoration

Got the swivel nut done, stick welded the ball back on the main screw handle, reshaped it best I could. All reassembled. Main scew lubed with dry moly spray, machine oil on the sliding surfaces, never seize on the threads of the main base and swivel screws. Opens and closes like butter. No in...

    1919 Reed 204 1/2 restoration

Lots of work done on the vise. I am digging the finish. Preheated the parts to around 400 then put the BLO on, let it set for 10 min. Wiped off the excess, back in the oven for 20 min, then another hot coat let sit for 10, then buffed it out and let cure. Base came out darker, kinda burnt...

    Raw materials

    Non-Standard uses for EMT

If anybody is within driving distance and wants some EMT for projects, or it's original intended use hit me up. Most of it's got compression couplings already, which is alot more costly than the pipe! I'll never use it all! This is just but a fraction of what we've thrown out. Unfortunately I...

    BLO application for vise restore?

I have a few questions on the process you guys use to apply BLO after electrolysis. A quick brush and hose to remove the carbon, blow dry with compressor wipe down with solvent, apply BLO with a brush. Would that be fine? Maybe a preheat in the oven? Or should I just pressure wash, dry and coat...

    Non-Standard uses for EMT

Body paint stands I made. The kayak racks. Paint sticks pretty good. Obviously a little prep will go along way, but In a commercial/industrial setting it gets painted all the time with no prep, even sprayed ceilings doesnt come off. Obviously it doesnt see any abrasion there.

    Non-Standard uses for EMT

I use emt for all kinds of stuff! Recently bent up some kyak racks out of 3/4 for my trailer. I'll grab a pic tomorrow. Your rack and bag holder came out nice. Heres a handle on a sweet cart I fabbed up out of shelves and a frame.

    1919 Reed 204 1/2 restoration

After a re arrange of the tank it's going good. Added an additional electrode. Pic of the blast cabinet, which I thought about throwing it in a bunch of times. Its loaded with garnet, and I wanted to see the finish the electrolysis produced anyway.
