Yeah I was just going off my experience from the jet ski idk if the oil gas mixture was the issue (oil pump failure). I'm going off what my dad's friend (a marine mechanic) said when he came to look at it. Never had the chance to take it apart but he said judging by the noise (metal on metal...
Clearly you don't get the fact that I don't give a sh*t. I'm here to learn and that's it. So stop trying to be so high and mighty. Never said I knew everything and this is the sole reason I'm researching power equipment.

Dude that's kind of a jerk thing to say to someone you know nothing about. I only made this thread to talk about 2 cycle vs 4 cycle power equipment. I'm the type of person that does all of the research and question asking before running out and buying something. I won't be that guy that buys a...
Pretty much the only maintenance of the 4 stroke that I've ever had to do is clean the carburetor or rebuild it change the fuel filter change the oil change the air filter. Other than that it's smooth sailing.

But is it just me? 4 strokes seem to be less work to maintain, more reliable and run easily? That has been my experience. With a 2 stroke you need the correct mixture of oil/gas every time and ethanol blocker. And doesn't the oil gum everything up after a while? That's what I've heard but not...
Mixing 2 stroke oil and ask just seems like to much of a pain. My dad's got a 2 stroke jet ski and that thing is always having some kind of problem. It recently didn't get the right amount of oil to fuel mixture because the oil pump died and it started knocking and just sounded like metal on...
I was hoping to not be tethered to a cord. I was looking at 4 strokes because of the fact you can just add gas and not worry about ethanol.

Okay so I'm looking at getting a leaf blower/vacuum combo. I was looking at some of the Cub Cadet 4-stroke hand held versions (so I don't have to screw around with mixing 2-stroke oil). I'm not really sure what to buy because I want a reliable machine and one that could be repaired with...
So I'd like to get into vacuum forming things for the fun of it. Maybe make some custom car parts and other things. I just purchased a JB vacuum pump 6 cfm eliminator and was hoping to find a device I can hook it to and vacuum form with. Or maybe even make my own by fabricating and welding one...
I got the JB vacuum pump because I'd like to do vacuum molding. Further research has shown me that the JB will **** the air out faster but will perform the same quality job after achieving a vacuum. But theoretically you can only pull so much air from a manifold gauge set using 1/4" tubing so I...
So my cars ac is dead completely. I need to get a vacuum pump but I don't want one that is one time use like HF **** pumps. I've read a lot of reviews on Chinese vacuum pumps and it seems to be hit or miss. You either get a good one or you use it once and it stops pulling a good vacuum. I'm...
Actually I just noticed the 2 I posted are the same price lol. But some of the exact same ones are cheaper for the Tekton version. Visually they look the same :/
Looking for good locking c clamps for auto body welding. I was looking at Irwin and Tekton and they look exactly the same. Do you guys think there's much difference? And are Irwin's just more expensive because of the name?
