1. 6" reversible lockwire pliers, used every day, all day.
2. 3/8th drive Beta torque wrench, very day always calibrated never fails.
3. 12'' adjustable set square.
Another vote here for Koken, bought some 1/4 drive deep sockets a few years ago and they've held up very well. I've also got some Beta sockets, very good value as well.
I have something similar made by Aircraft Supply, don't use it very often, but it has saved my skin on a couple of occasions. They also make one for removing solid rivets which I use all the time, very useful tools and in the tradition of this forum everyone should go out and buy both.
Simple answer is buy the Wurth ones. Tried several other brands and both even comes close, I have three of them all over 5 years old and all still work perfectly.
Aircraft Tool Supply do make a specific tool for drilling out pop rivets, the best thing about it is that it has serrated jaws to hold the rivet to stop it spinning. Use mine quite a lot and saves a lot of time if any of the rivets are loose. They also do one to suit solid rivets as well, got...
I use mine almost weekly, all depends on what you work on. I do a fair bit of race car restoration and LH thread's are really common on suspension and steering components. As others have said, if you're not going to use them very much just buy what you need. I have a full set as I use the...
I have both, I recently bought some Gearwrench flex head flare wrenches and they are great, use them more than my crow foot at the moment, but there's always the job where nothing will beat a crow foot.
I have Titan pliers, screwdriver and a flexible hose clamp driver. I bought all of my Titan tools from Aircraft Tool Supply, I've been very happy with them all and the long ratcheting screwdriver gets a really hard life and has stood up well. I bought the pistol grip pliers and they are great. I...
In my experience that's probably the worst place to mount a spare tyre. A few years ago I worked for a resource exploration company here in Australia as a vehicle fitter. We used nothing but Toyota Landcruiser based Utes/pickups and they all had the spare wheel mounted under the rear of the...
Let's think outside the box, why bother with 3/8" when what we really need is 5/16" Whitworth. Some of the greatest engines ever made used Whitworth :)
My compressor is the first thing that gets turned on and the last thing to be switched off. My few cordless tools sit there gathering dust, when cordless tools can match the size and power of my air tools I'll have another look at them.
