My idrive open will no longer work. If I disengage the motor, can I still use it as a torsion tube and install a common opener that hangs from the ceiling and connects to the header above the with some sort of travk?

During normal operation, shouldn’t the motor be down when the door is closed?

I have two idrives that have worked fine since 2003. One just quit. The door is closed, but the opener is in the “up” position. With the emergency handle in the operating position, I have tried to lift the door manually, and as I raise it, the motor swings down and stops it. If I put the handle...
