    Makita Addiction Thread

Home Depot has been an investor / financial partner on the back end with TTI, which is why Ryobi, Milwaukee, and Rigid (battery, not plumbing) tools occupy the most prominent real estate in Home Depot's tool corrals. The fact that Makita occupies any space at all in Home Depot's tool corrals is...

Speedaire 3Z492 & 3Z492A Air Pump Manuals Located Here

Thank you for posting these, @bsf . For anyone reading... the attachments above pertain to TWO STAGE 2 cylinder inline pumps, not single stage 2 cylinder inline pumps. Having at least four single stage 2 cylinder Speedaire / Campbell Hausfeld 20 gallon air compressors mothballed for lack of...

Tightening up a loose understanding of the many Milwaukee M12 Ratchets

@richfinn Your point further up, in Post #27, is the same question I asked even further up, in Post #4. Seeking to answer this question is one of the foundational reasons for creating these visual spreadsheets, to see what else differs between these ratchets, besides anvil size. Obviously...

Opinions on Milwaukee 12 volt cordless tools?

To support @tarbellb 's point: Just look at the sheer number of various ratchets available in the M12 line... and these 16 different ratchets below does NOT include ANY of Milwaukee's Impact wrenches and ratchets, of which there are just as many more.

Tightening up a loose understanding of the many Milwaukee M12 Ratchets

I went to a Home Depot last night, and made a beeline for their red hive, in the hopes of getting some hands on time with the M12 ratchets currently available, and in preparation for better understanding various M12 Impact ratchets and "stubbys", which I hope to have time to compare next. With...

Tightening up a loose understanding of the many Milwaukee M12 Ratchets

Unless the variable trigger feel has a tactile, controllable range of response (ratio of trigger travel to speed and torque limit), it is possible that too much torque is too much of a good thing for small diameter fasteners typically driven by 1/4" drive tooling, as pointed out by @ajchien. A...

Tightening up a loose understanding of the many Milwaukee M12 Ratchets

Ok, on the above note, it is time to continue on to the M12 Extended Reach Ratchet visual spreadsheet comparison. Apologies for the delay, but Milwaukee booted me off of their website, most likely from downloading too many pdf files within a session. What I was looking for was more specific...

Tightening up a loose understanding of the many Milwaukee M12 Ratchets

A very interesting prognostication. It is quite interesting that after Milwaukee spent the money to develop the 3050 INSIDER into what one would think would have been the best balance of all worlds... with higher torque (60 ft lbs) than the preceding (Gen 2) Extended Reach Ratchets (35 ft lbs)...

Tightening up a loose understanding of the many Milwaukee M12 Ratchets

Thank you for reporting your experience with the original 2456, compared to the increased torque of the 2557. I have since learned what "Stubbys" are, and will incorporate Milwaukee's line up of Stubbys in a future comparison of M12 Impact Ratchets.

    The Milwaukee addiction thread! :)

Is there a Milwaukee M12 version of a tool that works similarly to the Ryobi Power Cutter / Cordless Scissors or the Makita CXT Cordless Multi-Cutter? Ryobi Model # FVC51K Makita Model # PC01Z

Tightening up a loose understanding of the many Milwaukee M12 Ratchets

@Fedwrench Thanks for your input on your use of the 2456, and lack of preference for the 2457. What is it about the 2456 that is better than the 2457? Also, because I am unfamiliar with Milwaukee tools made since TTI purchased Milwaukee in 2005, any use of lingo loses me. Can you define...

Tightening up a loose understanding of the many Milwaukee M12 Ratchets

The upcoming extended reach versions that Milwaukee has already announced, Model #s 3055, 3058, and 3059, as shown and compared side by side in Post #7 above, are not expected to arrive in stores until the 3rd Quarter of 2026, whereas the shorter versions are expected to be available next month.
