    Small drilling attachment?

This reminds me of a wall mounted drill I once saw. It had a table below that had like a steering wheel on a threaded shaft to raise/lower a table.

Anyone know much about the Snap-on branded pressure transducer's?

I have 0-100 and 0-500. I would probably never consider using the 500 for engine oil pressure, I think that answers your question. You can look into an AC pressure sensor of late model cars and trucks, they use the same connector, and some even have 1/8 pipe threads, there is a diesel one as...

Drill and tap ring gear bolts?

Try just tapping them with a pointed punch and hammer first. U might get lucky. I would apply a little heat, as I always locktite them myself.

What do you have stuck to your lift?

I have an electrical outlet on each, one has 220. Air outlet on each post as well. A corded reel light on the twinpost, that sits right beside the 4 post. The aligner heads hang from each post of the 4 post, and the hoist is wired for just short cords to the heads. Tool box is on wheels, but...

    Parts washer/ filter system

Put water in the tank. Water is heavier than solvent so stays at the bottom. The water collects the dirt, solvent stays cleaner longer. Cleanups are much easier.

Adding extra air tank to compressor?

I have a 5hp 60 gal DV compressor and then a filter and a 30 foot run to another 60 gal tank there are valves at each inlet/outlet. I get a little moisture from the comp tank but ZERO at the aux tank. That is the main benefit. I keep the valve at the comp closed, and my whole shop runs off the...

    Vantage ultra users

If you buy the Vantage, it will give you a path to learn. It is a powerful tool, with built in learning module. Every sensor has a "known good" example in the menu, and it shows exactly how to hook up the leads. Get a suitable low amps probe to go with it. Then start going through the sensor...

Race trailer 120V panel and genset grounding

I think your electrical is getting covered well, just thought I would add a note that at our local track, all generator exhaust pipes have to be a minimum 12' (I think that's the spec) from the ground. They told me it was both for noise and emission safety for people in the pits. There is always...

    Tig welding aluminum

OP No matter how hard or long you clean alum, the oxidized layer is still there. You have to burn through it before you can melt the alum. It takes more than twice the temp to do this, once you are through it still takes a bit to get the puddle working real good. Dont be so worried about a...

    question for automotive machinists

Are the pin holes grooved for a retaining rings? You could buy some lightweight pins, and have the small end done to float the pins. No ring, use buttons. Isnt the saying "go big or go home" ?

    Master Cylinder Bleeder Tools

I have te Napa kit linked above, but branded Raybestos. The kit has checkvalves which make bleeding a breeze. There are also plugs so you can deadhead the fluid to set the cups and make sure the system is bled fully. A screw driver works to push the plunger, but you should really use a...

    Sun Machine 500 HDD

Have you turned the scope on? Will it boot? If not will it open bios? This will perhaps tell if the hdd is actually dead. I think all Sun 450/500 have 4 gas unless used for dyno, then 5 gas. If you need a hdd, you need to find a repair shop that can re-image the hdd, that is the best way to...

    big Compressor mounts/feet

I used the rubber wheels for a boat trailer. (the ones the boat rolls on) Got them cheap at Princess Auto, but any marine supply should have them. Easier than hockey pucks, they had the hole already! Not as hard as a puck, but firmer than rubber. 2 years later, not a mark on them. 60 gal 5hp...

How to diagnose (resolve) error codes from engine?

My money is on a vent valve, and probably it has killed the canister too. Valve is unable to fully close, or fully open, due to dirt, which gets pulled into the canister. cant close, so you get the large/small leak codes. Stuck nearly closed, or canister plugged, low flow during purge. OP...
