After approximately 4 years, 1 month and 29 days of searching and testing and about a hundred different bench vises of all types, sizes and brands have come and gone I think I have settled on my main user vise (at least for the time being). It is not a true vintage vise, is not made in the USA...

@FrankLee I agree on "better" being very subjective, my question was meant to follow up on your "function over form" comment and inquire if you thought the Baldor to be a more "functional" bench grinder with the Craftsman having a nicer "form"? Thanks!

@FrankLee which of the two you think is the better one, the small baldor? The Craftsman is 1/2 HP, the Baldor is 1/3 HP, should that also be a factor? Thank you again!
