There are online heating calculators that you can use to tell you your btu per hour needed for the building. Are you trying to keep it heated all the time or just when you are working in there?

You could do landscaping gravel for two feet then take your grass to the edge of that with a landscaping boarder separating the two

I'm looking in that 1000 ish price range and those models seem to be the "best" in that range. I know that I'm not going to get the best at that price range. Just want decent.
