Thanks DueCentric for your compliment  - however I feel 'amazing' would be better suited to describe some of the other garages on here.
The air hose reel was from Machinery house, and think it's their own brand.
Installed a new garage door opener yesterday, as the original one had an issue with the chain drive, which resulted in this occurring about 2 years ago:
More of this incident is documented here.
The broken chain and/or bullet attachment would have hit the roof of my car if it was parked...
Well, I installed the Chamberlain belt drive opener yesterday, and my initial thoughts are only so-so.
The unit is of about the same quality as that which was replaced, bar the belt drive which is no doubt better than the chain drive; but also lesser in quality in a few areas.
The first of...
Funnily enough I've just returned from Bunnings with a new Chamberlain opener.
Got this one: http://www.bunnings.com.au/chamberlain-powerlift-plus-sectional-garage-door-opener_p3961644
It's now sitting on the workbench, and I'll install it on Sunday :rocker:
I suppose my main problem is I haven't actually measured the temperature, and for some reason don't have a portable thermometer handy.
For 5/7th's of the week I'm away from the garage during the day, and really notice it more in the warmer months when I come home in the evening.
I thought...
I know what you mean, and it's a good idea; but the "bullet" moves along within the length the rail enclosure, and would need to be drilled to accept an attachment:
Plus the "bullet" is also covered by the plastic connector to the door arm, which itself broke internally when the "bullet"...
No, the garage ceiling is the exposed joists and floorboards from upstairs.
It's also comparatively low compared to the rest of the house, which has 12" ceilings.
So that too can be added to the equation:
Water heater
Fridge
No ventilation/air-flow
Exposed Roof
Low ceiling
That might be...
That Chamberlain opener is a good price - buying that as a replacement would have to be a no-brainer for those dollars.
Just found out I can choose 2 Chamberlain openers locally:

Thanks Mark - no, there's not much airflow available, except when the garage door is open.
Must be combination of that, the water heater, and the fridge.
Have just checked the build progress photos, and can't see any which show there's insulation installed in the western wall.
The pictures I...
Yeah - it's pretty warm and humid in Summer where I am.
While solar hot water is available, I have elected to use the standard electric system.
Actually, I only replaced it a year or so ago, so am not in any rush to turf it out just yet.
So the water heater & fridge are staying where they are...
Yep, XXXX fits in it quite nicely:
So the fridge stays, regardless of how hot it makes the garage.
I've recently set up a fan in the workshop area, and that makes a big difference:
Might look into a ceiling fan or a large wall fan in the main area next.
Insulation is definitely in the...
