Howdy. I just did this over the weekend. Used a piece of rod and hammered it out. Took about a half can of Kroil and finally heated the pin till it was smoking. I honestly thought it would never come out. Someone had hammered the pin flush.

Thank you for the info. Well, shoot. I wonder how long it'll last indeed. I know someone who replaced it with the one I mentioned about two years ago and it still works fine however, the drill press does not get used on a regular basis. I don't plan on using mine too often either so I am hoping...
