Honda K24 engine with discolored ignition coil

Just a guess but maybe that circular valve cover gasket for that spark plug wasn't sealed correctly and seeped oil on that one plug well. You don't say how many miles you have or the year (which would be helpful info to diagnose over the internet) but I would guess you are nearing 100k and the...

What’s your experience with Williams Screwdrivers?

The current Williams sets are duplicates of the old Hard handle S/O offerings before Snap On went to the current overmolded handles. Best bang for the buck IMHO.

    Metal Ceiling Installation

Any cut goods need to be installed with a stringline along the long axis of the building with long side of the sheet. Once you get the first run up then you can typically align the long sides from then on. Even plywood factory edges aren't truly square with the long side.

1/2" wood screw with fat head?

Use a self drilling "ply-tek". Pretty common in the commercial industry for securing treated plywood to steel framing for wood backing behind stucco, EP, etc. The wings self bore the wood and prevent tip dulling while drilling the hole in the wood. The wings break off when they hit the steel...

    Lowes, now sears

Some Craftsman sets at Lowe's are Taiwan manufacture and pretty nice. Some are China COO and not so nice. It's a shame what the CM brand has been reduced to. Honestly Tekton seems to be the best balance of cost and quality nowadays. My screwdrivers and ratchets are still Snap On though...

T.C.T. blade on my power saw?

Doesn't appear to be any type of special or brand name blade. The tooth count is a little overkill for rough/cross cutting, that many teeth is more of a finishing blade. If it were me I would run it until dull and get a new blade then. Or take it off and save it for finish work. Depending on...

PSA: Kidde recalling MOST plastic handled fire extinguishers

I had 4 of the Fireaway 110 (10ABC) that were on the list. Did the online application and so far I have received one replacement. It was the same size but a "pro" rechargeable model with a metal valve housing, some stickers, but no wall bracket.

    Concrete Block Construction in California

There really is no better way to build a building that will last several lifetimes. The question is do you need to build a building that will last several lifetimes? But seeing as how you want to plaster it the CMU wall would be an ideal substrate. As far as insulation goes they are OK, not...

    Motorcycle Garages Only

Welcome also from a fellow M/C enthusiast. I think many people like motorcycles as a hobby as you can do a lot with a smaller space as your shop shows. Really nice work on those vintage bikes! If you haven't been to Barber for the Vintage festival you owe it to yourself to make a trip. It...

After one week: Concrete still green AND pliable!

Quikrete is a very "weak" mix with some fillers and a low cement content. That is why it is only a few bucks a bag. Anything more than a fencepost and I doctor it up with some straight portland cement to get better workability, strength, and reduced cure times. I have seen "Quikrete 5000"...

    Filter changing

This topic is another one like the what oil is best threads but I'll share my experience. Best decision I ever made was getting a 5" whole house pre filter installed on my new equipment a few years ago. I keep a fiberglass (aka rock catcher) in each of the return grilles just to quiet down the...

    Milwaukee Porta-Band yard sale find

Porta band is probably the most useful corded power tool out there. I'd keep it.
