Some businesses really overcharge you and get mad when you tell them about it.

Sounds like the salesman just isn't that good, and isn't adding value. In the end, a price is just a price. It can be high or low, but consumers are looking for value for that price. Some consumers may see value in the fact that he does the Lambo clubs, and be willing to pay more for...

Devilxtreme new BMW ///M garage and advice needed.

What do you plan to do in the garage? I mean, do you plan to stuff 4 cars in it, and just use for parking/storage? Or are you planning to wrench on the cars there, and need room for lift, workbench, etc? If you're going to have lots of wall space, I like the idea of large format...

Harbor Freight now has screwdrivers with SO instinct style handles

I saw these in person the other day..... Was not impressed. The orange/gray and green/gray handled drivers are nice, these don't appear to be in the same class. The handles are small and cheap looking.

    Wow, That's a tool store

I think 7800 yen marked on what appears to be a 3/8 Snapon F80 is about $80. So prices aren't too bad, wonder if that is an exchange rate thing. I would have expected prices to be much higher.. The Japanese can be impressive with their attention to detail, nice store!

I know this is an old thread but.... Trying to tell the new from the old and it appears my autozone has a lot of old stuff. I need a 1/2 ratchet and they have a 72-126 in stock, and looks like all their open stock ratchets are made in Taiwan and have the 'old style' handles. I also see the...

Thanks for the feedback -- I'll probably end up with GW. I pass several GW dealers on the way to NAPA, so GW is probably easier to warranty.

    clean a steering wheel

I'm a big fan of the automotive specific all purpose cleaners like Meguiars APC+. It's about 15 bucks a gallon, and you dilute it so it lasts a long time. 10/1 for interior usually, 4/1 for tougher jobs. Meguiars has tested it to be safe on leather, vinyl, paint, whatever in the right...
