Yea, I went with a RubberMaid shed. It is all plastic/rubber and I put it all together by myself in under 1 hour.
Best thing is that it will never rust, rot or need any paint.
You would be surprised how much work and time it takes to completely clean out a garage and have everything in a cabinet or tool box.
I had to build a small tool shed on the side of my house to hold all my yard and some pool equipment.
Here is a shot of my garage door track supports. I originally had the typical lattice bar supports mounted on the outside of the sheetrock.
I cut 1" square tubing and welded a cover plate on the end. The square tube support goes straight into the attic where it is bolted into new 1" x 8"...
The Lift Master 3800 comes with a seperate plastic covered light fixture that is controled remotely from the main opener.
I took apart the light and removed the control board and transmitter. I then wired it to control a stainless 3-spot light I purchased from Home Depot.
From a suggestion from this board, I went with Lift Master jack-shaft openers. I powered them from behind and for a cleaner look did not use the locks or sensors.
I also took the electronics from the standard plastic covered opener light and attached it to a stainless 3-spot light fixture...
I shot you an e-mail. Mine is a 42" 720P.....build quality is good and for under $1000 at Sam's it is hard to beat.
For its location and purpose I would highly recommend it.
Very true....but my friend and I did all the work on my garage and I do wrench on my cars....just now I have access to a real shop....so at my house it is a place to just park my rides.
Here is a shot of the rear wall storage cabinets. My tool box is in a small niche behind the 9' double doors at the back left corner.
