    Dehumidifier Recommendations?

Yes, they do make whole house dehumidifiers, although I rare see them used - especially compared to whole house humidifiers. I think that's probably to do with the fact that central A/C units accomplish largely the same thing, in addition to cooling the air.

    Knipex--made in Japan??

I wouldn't be too worried - it's weird, given how they used to be, but Japan has some of the highest quality manufacturing in the world today. If they feel like quality, then I wouldn't worry. And yes, the barcode thing looks crazy tacky.

    Dehumidifier Recommendations?

I have this exact same dehumidifier in my basement as well - it's been running non-stop for about three years now. It's absolutely fantastic; quiet and pulls an unreal amount of moisture out of the air. Worth every penny and then some.

    Masonite vs. t111 vs. ???

Yeah, and it's a total PITA and a POS as well. The exterior of the porch on our house was done with Masonite when I bought it, and no amount of painting could keep up with the foot traffic that slowly turned it into mush. It makes for a really really lousy exterior; it's no wonder the makers...

Craftsman 299 pc. Easy-to-Read Socket Set

The list of sockets is here: http://download.sears.com/misc/IL35299.pdf It's every socket that Sears/Craftsman sells, so it's a complete set of everything. Just 6 and 12pt sockets... nothing else.

    vinyl siding

I don't think people will get offended if you don't like a particular building material. It's not like you said you hated Snappys or anything outrageous like that. ;) If you don't like stucco, have you considered just having it removed? It will probably take about 10k off the value of your...

    vinyl siding

I can't imagine wanting to side *over* stucco. Stucco is one of the lowest maintenance sidings you can get - the stucco on my house is 104 years old. It's great! In any case, I'd probably talk to some contractors who only do stucco. It can be temperamental, and most vinyl siding people I've...

    Flourescent Lights in 2-car

I just use a handful of 55W CFLs - they're 5000k and 3600 lumens/bulb (about equal to a 250W incandescent). Didn't want to fiddle with the wiring in my garage, so I just replaced the incandescents that came with the garage when I bought the house. I don't care too much about the CRI, but I...

    Best tool set under $600?

Yeah, like others say: $50 is far too much. Looking at my receipt, mine were $18/set + sales tax, back on May 9th. They are on sale all the time. I also only have one breaker bar, pretty sure it's this one. They also have a 25" version of it, but it weighs too much for me to use effectively.

    Best tool set under $600?

In that case, I'd shoot for the 145 piece set. It has, by far, the widest range of wrenches and sockets in a portable kit, easy-to-read, all 6pt. If you want better ratchets, you can buy them separately. That gives you: Sockets: 4mm - 22mm, 5/32" - 1 1/4" Wrenches: 12mm - 18mm, 3/8" - 3/4"...

    Best tool set under $600?

If it were my money, I'd probably get either the 172pc, 290pc, or 302pc sets. They all contain the much nicer thin profile ratchets, which you'd probably eventually end up getting anyways (them, or some other brand of nicer ratchets.) Them, or the 145pc set (my favorite: easy-to-read, up to...

If the Craftsman 34572 was 6pt, I'd probably pick it up for $15. Makes no sense to me why they don't offer the large size set in 6pt.

I own the C-Pro Locking Pliers and $25 is about the most I would spend on them. They're only so-so.

It's funny how there's some things that aren't well made at all.

Okay, it's rated for 180W, 15A. I don't know if there are any adapters that would work; it even has warnings on it not to use it with an adapter. But for something that's maybe 6"x3"x4", about 5lbs, very solid, and easily transportable, it's nice having just for emergency tire patching or what...
