US General 26" wide toolbox organization?

I don't remember them being riveted in place... I just popped them out to try them in other positions... They are not exactly multiples of a base number in size but they are close enough to work. Being certifiably insane - I drew it up in AutoCAD to test options and then ordered the new drawers...

US General 26" wide toolbox organization?

A few years ago I ordered 2 small drawers from them directly (Took a while) and swapped one of the deep drawers for 2 medium ones. For me its about square inches of shelf space rather than cubic inches of drawer space. The spacing worked almost perfectly... I have one large and one small gap...

Are hose clamp pliers worth it?

Cable type are awkward and annoying, but they are a godsend when you need them. I bought my father in law a set after years of going without and we love them.

iFixit screwdrivers, bits, and other products are actually pretty darn nice

I bought the older version that came with a nylon/canvas roll instead the the plastic box... it also came with the silver tweezers that while good, were nothing compared to the newer black ones. When I inquired about buying the black ones in a complete set (They were not available separately...

Mounting Ceiling Hoist on Top bar of 2 Post Lift? Pics!

What about raising the lift arms, hooking the engine to them and using the lift to... lift it out?

    Free Stickers?

I got almost all of mine from the dealers and companies themselves. I wrote a little blurb and emailed it to the addresses I found on their websites. If I used a specific product I would tell them what I use and what for. I only have stickers for the stuff I have in the box or on my bikes.

    Basement Garrage Ideas

Sorry, Southwestern Ontario. No Vents? Hmm, if I can find the money I could do in floor heating with the waste water (about to recycle) from the geothermal system. the plumbing etc is a good point. But one I'm willing to deal with. Thanks

    Basement Garrage Ideas

My lovely wife and I are looking at a couple of houses, and though they each have decent garage spaces, they also have large unused basements. (2200 square feet in one case) Since my primary addictions is motorcycles, and I live in a part of the world that is COLD 5 months of the year, I'm...

Why you don't let friends borrow tools

I married the farmers daughter, so to speak, and in our first years together learned a lot about how things operate in "farm country"... My father in law is a great mechanic, while I'm a tinker with a penchant for organization and knowing how to do things. He only had to say it once, when I...

    Let's see your toolbox.

http://www.leevalley.com/en/wood/page.aspx?p=71906&cat=1,43326 They were dirt cheap when they first came out. I had ones from Canadian tire, but they didn't fill the space and were nowhere near as efficient. I cut them to fit in the two socket drawers and used some leftover in a few other...

    Let's see your toolbox.

The drawers in the bottom are a little funny... The third from the bottom (Stock Assembly) has to have a deep drawer below it. I was able to move it down when I replaced one of the large drawers with the two Medium drawers, but if you move the Medium+ drawer to the top it leaves really odd gaps...

    Let's see your toolbox.

The only drawer deep enough for my 1/2 inch sockets is near the bottom. I guess that's a good thing for weight distribution.

    Let's see your toolbox.

The Bottom Cabinet is customized with two medium drawers to replace one of the deep drawers. It turns out that while it is possible to get replacement drawers from Harbor Freight, it takes about a year, and they might be used. Oh well, they cleaned up nicely and I was able to hammer out the bent...

    Let's see your toolbox.

The Top Box is a bit eclectic, But I'm pretty proud of the way I got the screwdrivers in the shallow drawers to let me use the deep drawer for the Pliers. All the drawers are labeled so that I can actually ask my wife for a tool and she can get it for me pretty easy.

    Let's see your toolbox.

This is my second box, I grew out of the first one after about 8 months. Of course it was a 21 inch Stanley that only had 12 inch deep drawers. I had to give great consideration to the size (small) of my garage and the best way to maximise square inches to lay tools out in as opposed to cubic...
