Who are good parts suppliers for Milwaukee M18 lawn & garden tools

I need the Rear Guard Service Kit and a mulching blade for my M18 mower and a replacement gearbox for my Quik-Lok hedge trimmer. Who are good suppliers for these parts?

Have a shop? Tell me your thoughts

5' is a nice workable minimum for the side. Any less and eventually you'll be tripping on something that is sitting along side the lift. Make sure to give yourself room for stools, tools, parts and other items along with a path wide enough to push your tool cart.

Insurance for your tools and your tools after death……

My homeowners/small farm policy covers the tools in my shop and equipment in my barn. I speak with my agent every few years and adjust the coverage as needed. My will lists that the farm equipment, if any remains, will go to my son who is farming and the tools or proceeds from the sale of the...

    Drill press vises?

Watch Marketplace for Heinrich or Cardinal. Both are excellent. I have two sizes of the Cardinal and one Heinrich along with a few other vises for my drillpress. I find myself using the 6" Cardinal more than any other.

What’s a good quality set of precision microscrewdrivers or bits?

Another vote for Wiha. I have my father's set and it is so much better than the generics I've used in the past.

    DIY Job for subpanel?

Unless you have some experience routing and pulling heavier wire, you might be time and dollars ahead as well as having a much cleaner installation by having an electrician set your subpanel and do the pull from your service entrance to the subpanel in the garage. All of the wiring from your...

    Pole Barn Finishing options

I use my 30x50x12 pole building as a shop. I finished the inside with white ag metal and surface mounted all of my electric and air using EMT for the electric and blue aluminum pipe for the air. It looks industrial, but is also extremely easy to make changes to if I move or add equipment...

Insulation for Walls 1000Sq Ft Retirement

I used Rockwool in my forever home and would never go back to fiberglass. It is much easier and faster to install properly compared to fiberglass, especially around electrical boxes and wires and as others have said, better for sound deadening. I think ease of installation and lack of itching...

Looking for a good mulching blade for a Milwaukee push mower

Any recommendations for a good mulching blade for this mower? I tend to mow on the highest setting and don’t want a golf course finish, I just want to keep things fairly even so that it looks OK and the grandkids can run around in the yard.

Replacement bump heads for Milwaukee M18 weedeater

I need to replace the bump head on my trimmer. I like the easy feed mechanism for reloading on the Milwaukee, but have always had issues with feeding while I am using it. Any recommendations for a replacement?

Ceiling cassette location in a long, narrow room

I would put it at least 6’ off of any end wall and relatively close to where people will be congregating in the room. I installed two ceiling cassette units a few weeks ago. The installation wasn’t that difficult, but unless you have some sort of lift to position the cassette, it is...

I’m looking for some foam insulation and a Uv stable sleeve for the last foot or so off my minisplit lines. What is the right name for this stuff and where can I find it?

Grounding and Breaker requirements in an Accessory Structure

I am finishing my 30X50 final and forever shop next to a house I am renovating and ran into a few questions from my inspector when he came out to check the electric. According to the town, the building is considered to be an Accessory Structure. I have built it as a shop building following...

    My new to me Backhoe

This is a problem we are aware of. There is some wear in the splines, but they are all there. We will start off babying it, but may end up doing some sort of rebuild.

    My new to me Backhoe

I received a lot of good feedback on my 'should I get a backhoe' thread and ended up buying one. It is an International diesel 2500B from the mid '70s. It isn't pretty (at least not yet), and needs a little work, but the motor and driveline are strong and with the exception of a few small...
