    Just an idea, try running a REALLY long electrical cord from your house, to the opener and see if it still works. Those old machines are GREAT! Try to keep it running as long as it works.

    Lift Master is honestly the opener of choice (along with the cheaper version, Chamberlin. Kind of like Toyota and Lexus. Lift Master being Lexus, Chamberlin being Toyota) you cant go wrong there.

    Also, I went ahead and Googled "Xtreme Garage openers". Never head of the brand before. but their not a rebranded Genie, Sears, Lift Master, etc, which isnt good.

    Chinese garage openers = BAD. If youre looking for cheap go for a simple Sears chain drive, will be about $130, but theyve been proven to work.

    Thanks for adding! We don't have that brand in America, so I assume you live somewhere else... it looks very high tech. do the 4 buttons on the remote do anything, or are they to program to other doors?
