I would buy the new Snap-on tools with your student discount if you can afford them, they are marked down ALOT for students, and at them prices it's definately the best deal you can get......

The China vise grips work just as good as the USA ones do. I'd still rather buy USA made ones though........

I had a new pair of channel lock cutters that were pretty stiff to open and close, tried wd40 for a few days didn't work, so I ended up wedging a small screwdriver in between levers and gave it a quick tap, cutters have been great ever since....

I know this thread is old but did you ever find the correct part number for the lower drawer with ball bearing slides? I am looking for these exact same slides and my snap-on dealer took over a month to get me some and they are the wrong ones. I also tried the #8-2488alrs ball bearing slides...

I've seen this box sell here in the CL SF bay area for $5000-$5800. It would be a steal at $3000 around here.....

Thats the same gun I have, it was $100 from HF, I've used it at work for almost 2 years, not one problem at all. Although I use it pretty much for one task: Taking off crank bolts......

I work at a Honda dealer and all of us have the $100 heavy duty air gun from Harbor Freight. It takes the crank bolts off ALL OF THE TIME. Its really the only reason anyone in our shop has a 3/4 air gun.......
