Building Garage/Shop in Northern WA State

I did find a promising builder that was referred by a friend. Builder is really patient and very detailed. I told him how I wanted to go bigger and before he quoted me what an extra 20 feet would cost, he said he needs to come to the site in order to get an accurate picture. So far its only been...

Any Forward 4 Post Lift Users Here?

What is the advantage of a ALI certified lift? I'm in the market also. New to lifts...was just going to go with a Bendpak just because seems like everyone likes it. Too many choices out there and all in the same ballpark price range.

Hi, after I staked out a 36x40 in the backyard, I noticed its small once you park your vehicles and move all the **** in (tool boxes, benches, etc)... So now I am pondering a 40x60. I am very interested in your experience and knowledge. I have also never done construction before. I'll build you...

Building Garage/Shop in Northern WA State

I'm going to meet with another builder tonight and I'll report back. Permabilt says what's killing the price is the hardyboard and texture roof to match the house.

Permabilt will only deliver a structure with finished exterior (walls, roof, windows, doors). That's it. No water, power, dry wall, no insulation, nothing. Pacific Garages would be a finished building with water, power, drywall, etc. Complete build.

Building Garage/Shop in Northern WA State

I wish I knew DIY... If they sold garage/shops as a build yourself kit, I would totally do it myself. I've never done carpentry. I can build you a motor or vehicle though. Lol

Thanks for the suggestion. This is only for structure. I'm building on my existing lot which is totally flat and clear (just has grass... its my backyard). Permabilt will only deliver a structure, no water, no wiring, no drywall, nothing. Just a covered frame; exterior walls, roof, windows...

Only restriction in my area is that the structure has to match the home (roof and siding) oh and not be larger than the home sqft-wise.

Permabilt is pole and Pacific is standard frame. I thought it was crazy expensive. Thus I'm asking for help/ suggestions.
