    that is what I would do (cut concrete) and then epoxy coat floor when done... I only suggested above thinking you did not want to cut.

    I would try a pressure washer. Will have to make extensions for pressure washer. Maybe stick 4" tube that is 2' long in then pressure washer in thru it and spray to clear shale then shop vac it out (with 5g bucket under end of tube in pit). Only worry is to not make a void under everything...

    That would be nice. IDK what type of steel beam I would require with just attic above but if it were say a W8x35 24' long, that is $900 from Logan steel near me. If I didn't care about it sticking up into attic maybe a w12x22 calculated using a steel beam load/span table would be $475 + $124...

    Is that warehouse storage fee standard for something like this? With a 10-week lead time I think I am just going to order now and figure out the rest before it arrives. I wonder if funds were sent as PP gift than no fee.
